yes they did! He said i needed to pay 300, but then I told him i shouldn't have to. The officer asked me to take a seat and a few minutes later it as done and i didnt have to pay.

When does your current stamp in the old passport expire?

@Mal****
, then they should move the stamp to the new passport.

If the fee is too much, just take both passports when you exit the country and they'll stamp you out on the new one

Some offices charge a "fee" (and don't give a receipt :O) but it's free at most places.

You still have the old passport with the original 60 day tourist visa you got from the thai consulate in another country in it right and the entry stamp?

ORIGINAL POSTER
Yes

At the immigration office they will move the 60 day entry stamp from the original passport to the new passport, but that's it.

Did you already extend that single entry by 30 days as well?

ORIGINAL POSTER
No I did extend it. But yeah I thought it was as simple as moving it my new passport , but it doesn’t seem that way. Also is there a fee? They are saying it’s a few , but I have read elsewhere that there is no fee.

What was the reason you got a new passport?
Mallory **************
ORIGINAL POSTER
Because It was an emergency passport and it was full.
