Indian Applicant – DTV Visa Approved in Just 2 Days!

Sharing my Thailand Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) journey for anyone planning the same:

1. Applied online on 6th May 2025 through the Royal Thai General Consulate, Chennai – Uploaded all required documents including employment offer letter, NOC, GST details, 6-month bank statement (showing 500K THB maintained for the past month), and 6 months’ salary slips. Paid the visa fee via cash deposit at the DBS branch in Bangalore.

2. Same Day – Sent the payment summary and deposit receipt via email.

3. 7th May – Status updated from “Pending Payment” to “Processing - Document Check”.

4. Morning of 8th May – Status changed to “Pending Approval”.

5. Evening of 8th May – Received the eVisa approval!

Super quick and smooth process – done in just 2 days!

Has anyone applied for a DTV visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Chennai, India? Regarding the bank statement requirement, does it need to show a closing balance of 500,000 THB, or should the account consistently maintain 500,000 THB for the past six months? Please share your experience.
