Just fyi for those doing 90 day reporting. If you did your visa at chaengwattana you can’t extend 90 days at chamchuri square, you have to go to chaengwattana. I didn’t know this so ended up wasting time today. Hopefully it helps others who are stuck doing 90 day reporting during this period.

Question regarding Non-Immigrant O-A visa extension at Chaengwattana......my current extension is stamped until January 13, 2021. My P.C. health insurance expires on January 13, 2021. I want to go in for my visa extension a few weeks prior to the expiration day for 'safety reasons'. When I get my new P.C. health insurance policy before my extension meeting can I have it pick-up where my current one expires (ie - - start it on January 13, 2021 running to January 13, 2022? My current existing policy will still be in effect when I go in (like December 28, 2020); new one won't start until the 13th of January 2021. I will have the documentation for my new policy when I go in for the extension.

Thank you for for guidance......don't want to get burned again this year.

On home visits for retirement and marriage visa issued at Chaengwattana: so as reported yesterday I applied for change of US tourist visa to 90 day O for retirement, with both bank balance )฿800K and US Embasy letter as to income and residence. They approved me to come back in 2 weeks to get my passport stamped. But they said officers would visit my rented condo, had me draw a map and give phone number. Today 2 officers visit-pleasant, limited English. They spoke to my Thai landlord, he said they told him to register me if he hadn’t, but didn’t check. They took pictures of me, condo, contract, bankbook, landlord’s ID. Then they said they needed a Thai that knew me to come in person and sign papers. I don’t know neighbors nor the guy at juristic office. The landlord sent a family member to be my new Thai friend. The officer showed me his work for the day–pictures of about 6 other Farangs, some with Thai wives/girlfriends. Just to let everybody know. I had my papers in order..,
