Hello,

When applying for a job that is providing a business visa.

Does it help having a non immigrant O visa (retirement based) to avoid having leaving the country to get the business visa?

Many thanks in advance

I got another Non Imm O visa today, marriage reasons if that matters. When I picked it up and checked for correctness I see remark stating “Employment Prohibited”. Again this is because I’m married not for retirement. I asked and the lady said”you applied for non Imm o”. I said “yes but marriage not retirement”. Her reply was “non Imm o cannot work”. This is same lady I had issues with when appplying. She would not accept documents that I’ve been supplying for last three years for same visa.

Will this effect me getting a WP if my company assigns me to a project in Thailand? I haven’t had to for three years which is why I’m getting non Imm o instead of B but it could happen. I did not have time or will to argue with her as I need to apply for Thai pass. I’m coming in less than two weeks.

If I am married and my spouse has a job in Thailand, would that allow me to move to Thailand with a spousal visa?

Hi Everyone, im new here

What are the conditions to work under a marriage visa? Is all work permitted? For example can my wife open a travel company and hire me as a driver?

Thanks.

i got this question by private message:

The modus operandi of the new workplace is a 3 month probation period during which staff who are hired from overseas work on a tourist visa. After the probation period ends, documents are provided to apply for a non-B visa, as well as a work permit. Being a long-term resident in Thailand already, and married to a Thai, it's needless to say I can't take the risk of working on the wrong visa.

it seems that my point of view is different, I would say do not work without a visa that allows you to work with a work permit and that work permit in your pocket.

Text on the visa is Employment prohibited (picture 1)
