Hello,

When applying for a job that is providing a business visa.

Does it help having a non immigrant O visa (retirement based) to avoid having leaving the country to get the business visa?

Many thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Having a Non-Immigrant O visa (retirement-based) does not help in avoiding the need to leave the country for applying for a business visa. This visa prohibits employment and cannot be converted into a Non-Immigrant B visa for work purposes.

No as the Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age and willing to sit out the rest of your life in Thailand also known by shortcut retirement visa is employment prohibited and can not be used to convert into a Non Immigrant B visa for employment inside the country.
