Will I have any issues with an overstay due to a lost passport. My visa expires today and I can apply for a new passport. I will have 10-15 day overstay depending on how long it takes to arrive. Will I have any issues re entering if I have the police report etc to show I lost my passport.

Hello everyone. So, I recently lost my bag with my passport in it. I needed to get a fresh stamp on Dec 16, but I was without my passport. I filed a police report and planned to start the process a-new.

Unbelievably, I found my bag and my passport was still in it. I can't really find anything but basic descriptions on the embassy site..

So, does anyone know or have any suggestions as to how to navigate this situation? Really stressed that this is going to get me kicked out or pay a ton, or both 😓

Late for Elite Visa extension.

Hey all. I have my annual visa extension on my 5 year Elite Visa but it seems that I there will be a delay of a couple of days?

I know the fine is 500 Baht per day for overstay. If I pay the fine will it be okay and will I be able to extend my visa like normal?

Has anyone had any experience with being late (overstay) when extending their visas?

Could you please share your experiences. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: we went to the immigration department this morning, paid the fine and got 30 days extension. Thanks for all your advice.

Good morning. I was issued a 3 month tourist visa valid until 6/7. When preparing my paperwork to ask for a 90 day extension next week I saw on my entry stamp: valid till 21/6….(entered on 23/4)

So does this mean I overstayed my visa ( even though it’s still valid)? Thanks for your advice. Going to immigration tomorrow but just want to know what I can expect.

Hi there, I have a question about over running the 30 day tourist visa by a couple of days. Is it possible to just pay a fine at the airport for overrun days or will this cause a problem for me? Would another course of action be better?
