Does anyone have experience of a 4 day overstay departing at Suvarnabhumi please? Do you just pay the 2,000 Baht fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among community members is that a 4-day overstay at Suvarnabhumi Airport typically results in a fine of 2,000 Baht, as long as the traveler is not intercepted before reaching immigration. However, it is advised against overstaying due to potential scrutiny on future visits. Some suggest considering a visa extension instead.

On November 17th you asked...

"My work Permit and Visa expire on the 31st December.

I plan to return to England in the first week of January. Would a few days 'Overstay' be a problem when I leave? I'm willing to pay the fine."

Are you now on overstay? Or planning to be ???

Yes, as long as you don't get apprehended at a passport check prior to reaching immigration. However, still a pretty stupid thing to do and could cause scrutiny on the next visit.
