Late for Elite Visa extension.

Hey all. I have my annual visa extension on my 5 year Elite Visa but it seems that I there will be a delay of a couple of days?

I know the fine is 500 Baht per day for overstay. If I pay the fine will it be okay and will I be able to extend my visa like normal?

Has anyone had any experience with being late (overstay) when extending their visas?

Could you please share your experiences. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about being late for their annual extension of their Thai Elite Visa and wants to know about the implications of incurring an overstay fine. They are seeking personal experiences regarding whether they can still successfully extend their visa after paying the overstay fine. Various comments suggest contacting Thai Elite Visa for assistance, as there is generally no grace period for late extensions. Others warn that an overstay could lead to serious consequences, including the potential cancellation of the Elite Visa.

If someone has an overstay they are ineligible for a Thailand Elite Visa. I can imagine the consequences are pretty severe for someone on this type of visa to overstay. I would suggest borrowing the money from someone and go get yourself an extension of stay asap. You should contact Thailand Elite immediately to find out what the consequences will be if you do overstay. I could see the elite visa being canceled but nobody knows until you contact Thailand Elite.

Suggest you contact Thai Elite Visa with your questions.

As with any visa or extension...there is NO GRACE PERIOD of time if you are late in getting the permission to stay extended.

You will have to start all over.

Are you now inside or outside of Thailand at this time?

When is the expiration date of your current Thai Elite visa?

Is this the last year of the visa ?

Yes. In Thailand right now.

Expiration date is Monday 15th November. And last year on my 5 year visa.

I know it's silly but I had transferred my monthly living allowance late and the money needed for the extension won't arrive until about Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

As your permission to stay date is November 15th

Go to Thai immigration and apply for the COVID 60 days extension.

ASAP...not later than Monday November 15th

You will have to start all over with Thai Elite if it expires.

Why did you fail to extend it ? Or accept their offer to get 10 years ?

What is your age?

And the new 5 year Elite Visa is now 600,000 ...not the 500,000 you paid 5 years ago.

Anyway...our best wishes..hope you get it straightened out soon.

Thank you for the well wishes.

I'd like to just make it clear that I still have 1 year left on my 5 year visa.

The extension on Monday would be for that final year (as you know they give us 1 year at a time).

I will be late in making that extension because my money transfer from the States is taking a little longer than usual and won't arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm 41 years old and when I first got the 5 years I thought that would be long enough for my needs at the time?

I'm just worried that if I overstay a couple of days they might cancel my Elite Visa and not allow me to extend for the final year?

Thank you for the support and advise.
