TLDR : Answer Summary
The community shares mixed experiences regarding 1-day overstays in Thailand. Most agree that minor overstays can typically be resolved with a fine, often with little to no major issues following the incident. Users report paying a fine of 500 baht for the overstay upon departure, and while some mentioned instances of being noted in the passport, others showed that it did not hinder their ability to obtain future visas. It is advised to pay any fines at immigration or the airport when leaving Thailand.

I overstayed 1 day at airport I was taken to the overstay desk. After 15 minutes was given passport with no charge.

This was the stamp they put in mine, no fine, no issues at the airport on the way out.

As a rule flying out of the country on a one day overstay they waive the 500baht fine and only put a stamp like this into your passport.

At the immigration office where you get your extension. I did mine at Buriram imagination office

where do they charge 200baht for passport sized photos?
Robert *******
Immigration Officer can give you a speech to avoid it with a very serious face. But you get your Extension of Stay for 30 days added from the admitted to stay date after you paid the fine of 500 Thb a day and 1.900 Thb for the Extension.
