Hi all, my visa was approved on Oct 16th.

And I wanted to share my experience too for you all to apply.

1) Embassy Location: Fukuoka embassy, Japan

(I was a Tokyo resident as a Japanese national)

2) Timeline

Applied on at night on Oct 9th.

Asked for extra docs on Oct 15th, which I submitted in the morning on Oct 16th.

Got approved on the 16th in the evening when I was exhilarated.

3) Type: soft power(Muey Thai gym)

4) Requested more docs as below

* Accommodation booking document

I am staying with my Thai gf, so she gave me her condo contract, a cover letter and her ID.

* Flight booking confirmation

* Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 500,000 THB (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter): A bank statement showing transactions for the past three months (Aug - Oct).

Initially I submitted only the full amount of my savings.

Other request documents: Please scan all pages of the passport that contain entry or exit stamps and visa stickers.

It went all quick.

Hope it helps.

Hi all, I have 2 questions about the additional documents requested by the Fukuoka embassy for DTV today. If anyone knows anything or has experienced the same thing, please let me know.

1. A bank statement showing transactions for the past three months.

Can this be just screenshots of the bank transaction history and a translated version? I submitted a bank statement provided by the bank, but it has no transaction history shown. I already asked my bank to send me the version that shows the transaction history, but it takes 7 days according to the bank.

2. Accommodation booking document

I have a partner there in Thailand so I wrote the name & address of the condo that my partner is renting. So it is not under my name. I am wondering if I should just attach the condo contract and my partner's ID photo while telling that she is my partner etc, or ask the condo owner to put my name in the contract which might take time, or book another hotel or something for a few weeks with a letter saying I changed the accommodation.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
