Hi!

Is anybody know if we can still do border bounce on the same day at the Sadao border? I heard that Satun required a 24h stay. Is it the same for Sadao?

A word of warning to all: avoid the Padang Besar border with Malaysia. I was turned down for no good, sound reason (made up inconsistent requirements about cash currency and paper-printed hotel bookings). The officer was rude and unreasonable and I was given an expulsion slip! Went to the Sadao border and granted entry. However, I can confirm that an instant u-turn re-entry is impossible at both. The friendly Sadao officer who let me in after one night in Malaysia recommended minimum 3 nights in Malaysia and said Laos is still the best option. That being said, two older guys I met in Malaysia (with perhaps more back-to-back visas) were denied entry at Sadao as well based on an entry cancellation stamp stamped at Padang Besar. Avoid PB at all costs, they are extremely unfriendly towards white / western foreigners.

Needing guidance, please regarding obtaining another 30 day stay in Thailand . I am from the States. I entered Thailand Mid January and received a 30 day stamp. Then went to Penang and obtained a 60 day Tourist Visa ( not multiple ) From there went to Koh Samui receiving a 30 day extension. I just need 30 more days.

My travel agent has me set to go to Had Yai. In fact I’m on ferry now. He did not set up the next step. Just said to get my own bus from Had Yai and cross border into Malaysia, spend the night and then travel back to Thailand the next day. He didn’t arrange how to travel back.

He said I didn’t need to go to Penang embassy. He didn’t have me pay extra to assure I got 30 days.

Many travelers are giving me different advice

Some say I will only get 15 days unless I fly back in. Others say since I have only one stamp I can get 2 - 30 day stamps a year. Others say I need to pay off an agency

Since I have only one stamp this year plus the above tourist visa & extension will I be able to cross the border, spend night (suggestions please) and obtain another 30 days when I cross in?

I have 20k baht in case and am booked with Expedia to fly home June 11

Should I meet with a travel agent in Had Yai (recommendations) to book the rest of my travels

I am also willing to just fly back to Koh Samui if not to outrageous in price yet not sure where to go once I cross the border

Much gratitude for your help.

This mama on Mother’s Day could use some support 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hey guys, anyone have some advice as to the best way to do an afternoon bounce from Hat Yai? Google has provided a few suggestions but was hoping some people had some first hand experience, etc.

Should add, I'm on multiple entry Non B with work permit.

Cheers!

Hey everyone - looking for some advice.

We are currently in Nakhon si Thammarat ; as our paperwork is not complete for our non B visa, we need to do a border run (we have already extended our visa by 30 days so can't do that again on this trip). Thinking about going to Sadao on Saturday (Hat Yai - Sadao). Has anyone done this trip and has any tips? Is it possible to do same day border bounce or should we stay the night? Is it a relatively easy trip?

Your help would be appreciated! Many thanks.

Help please!

Long story short, a friend has accidentally overstayed on a Non-B, is headed for Sadao border crossing tomorrow morning to do a bounce.

Does he need cash or a bank statement?

Is the onward ticket required if he's living and working in Thailand? He can show a valid work permit and get a letter from the school.

Basically he just needs a 30 day TV to buy the school some time to do the paperwork for a new NON-B

Any help is appreciated.
