TLDR : Answer Summary
The intern should consider applying for an ED visa, which is typically issued for educational purposes, such as internships. There is also a suggestion to apply for a Non-O visa if the intern is volunteering.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

IF they are doing an internship it is part of their continued education and most interns I've met working at companies here are on ED visas

People doing internships usually get ED visas
