TLDR : Answer Summary
The best approach for a Myanmar national seeking to work in Thailand is to secure a NON-B visa before entering the country. It’s crucial to coordinate with your employer, who should provide necessary documentation. Additionally, as a migrant worker from Myanmar, specific rules apply, including a worker quota system and the requirement for your employer to be approved for hiring migrant workers through the Thai Department of Labour and the Myanmar embassy. Work permits are typically valid for 90 days and need to be renewed by your employer.

Coming in from Myanmar to work is different. There is a worker quota system to get the migrant work permit. You don't come in on a type B visa. You come in as a migrant worker, and your employer has to be qualified to hire migrants. This is done by your employer through the Thai department of Labour, and the Myanmar embassy. Work permits are usually for 90 days, and renewed every 90 days by your employer. Your employer should know all about this system if they are legally hiring you.

I think you might be classed as a migrant worker so the rules could be different for people from Myanmar (also Lao and Cambodia). You may get a better answer from one of the Myanmar oriented groups.

Get the non-B first then come into the country. Speak to your employer to get all of the documents you need.
