Can someone explain what the types of visa are (eg non-0 a-o etc) and what they are for please? I am over the Thai retirement age of 50 but all these visas confuse me. Would like to try a year ( and maybe go back to uk a couple of times for visits) and possibly stay longer say over 6 months at a time. Have been plenty of times and understand the 30 visa exempt for uk citizens
Could you explain it easy in layman’s terms for an old man . Thanks Anne Oldman
TLDR : Answer Summary
There are various types of Thai visas that can be confusing for newcomers. For expats over the retirement age of 50, the most relevant options are the Non-Immigrant O-A visa, which is a long-stay visa allowing for a year of multiple entries and requires health insurance; and the Non-Immigrant O visa, which is a single-entry visa with a 90-day stay and does not require insurance. The O-A visa is recommended for those looking to stay long term.
