TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the confusion around different types of Thai visas including Visa Exempt Entry, Tourist Visa, and various Non-Immigrant Visas like Non-O. Various commenters provide insight, clarifying that visa types depend on factors such as nationality, age, and purpose of stay. They emphasize the importance of understanding visa terminology, and suggest checking consulate websites for official information.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

, I deleted your post with that b/s website that looks like an official thai website but is just a visa agency that pushes paper for people and helps them get visas.

It is LITTERED with bad and out dated information. Please don't link to it again on the group. Thanx (y)

So sorry! Will be much more careful. Thanks for this!

I think it would be easier if YOU tell us your age, your nationality and what reason you're wanting a visa to stay in thailand. Listing the various and sundry visas without knowing your particulars isn't gonna help you all that much :O

I understand you get lost, that is why we ask to use the correct terminology. All these phrases: Marriage Visa, Retirement Visa, Work Visa, Guardian Visa, Combat Visa, Thai School Visa, Thai Child or Wife Visa even read yo-yo visa are made up by Foreigners and does not exist. Only themselves understand what they have stamped in their passport.

It's easy, if you come to Thailand without a Visa, depending on country of origin, you get a Visa Exempt Entry (no visa) for 30 days or you buy a Visa on Arrival for 15 days. But if you like to stay longer you can by a Visa at a Thai Consulate or Embassy. The option is a Tourist Visa, 60 days, Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, valid 6 months and each entry gives 60 day. Then we have the Non Immigrant Visa, which gives 90 days, but have specific requirements, like working in Thailand, marriage with Thai National, Dependent, being over 50 years of age, Education as the most common used.

Most Thai consulate/embassy websites explain what each visa is for and it's requirements.

Well... It's definitely more easy to google it, because it's nighttime in Thailand now... You can easily find the info literally everywhere...
