Will having two freelancing jobs complicate my visa application in Thailand?

I don't make much from freelancing and I have two freelancing jobs. One is designing (which allows me to provide an online portfolio) and one is tutoring (which is where my limited income comes from, and my invoices relate to).

Will it likely complicate things too much if I present myself as having both of these freelancing jobs?

It's the only real way I can show income and also a portfolio

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about the complexity of applying for a Thai visa while having two freelance jobs: one in design with a portfolio and one in tutoring that generates limited income. Responses indicate that there are no strict income requirements and that having multiple freelance jobs may complicate the process, but there are examples of successful applications from online tutors.

Same I wonder do Thai accept freelancers

It is more simple with just one freelance job. You can find posts from online tutors who have been approved, some who just started and with a limited income.

would you say that the tutoring with a couple of invoices looks better than designing with an actual website portfolio

Anonymous participant What design are you doing? As you need to show you work online? Online tutor is easily understandable. i know tutors approved with a couple of invoices and no website portfolio. I think the tutor route is likely to lead to less requests for more documentation on your design work. You do like 3D designs?

sorry no it's more like general graphic design with advertising, brochures, posters, etc. so I have a site where you can scroll through galleries of my work.

The work was done years ago , and my more recent work on there has been done for free , to try and build up the portfolio for this visa.

So I can't really show contracts and stuff for this graphic design work even though the portfolio looks relatively convincing.

On the other hand, with tutoring I can show some income, and a couple of testimonials, but that's all.

My tutoring and graphic design is actually both on one single website, so I wondered if just presenting all of this together might help, or whether I should pick one!

Anonymous participant ok, I get the design work now. Your design and tutor business is registered? You get students directly not via a platform like Upwork? If you getting students direct, you will need to show company/self employed registration.

nothing is registered no. The students are direct, but I was also planning to get on an Upwork or cambly type site.

I've never done anything along the lines of registering a company before. And I'm below thresholds for tax.

You've got my slightly concerned now.

What do you recommend?

Is the graphic design stuff easier to go with?

Have I really got no choice but to register as self employed? Same with graphic design?

Anonymous participant If you go via platforms like Upwork, no problem, others got DTVs via there as you can show paperwork/contract from the platform. If you are self employed and getting work direct you can be asked to show registration. The embassy needs to know you are employed legally which is why they ask for company registration if self employed. You are from the UK?
