Does anyone have experience applying for the Destination Thailand visa via the Thai Embassy in Washington DC? If you applied as a remote worker, did they actually contact your employer to confirm your remote work status?

Hi everyone. Has anyone applied and received a Special Tourist Visa through the Thai embassy in Washington DC? I completed my application online and mailed everything to them on June 1, and I know they received it by June 4. So far my application is still in "post your passport and e-appointment" status. I was expecting it wouldn't take very long provided there were no problems with the application, but this makes me fear that my documents have just been sitting somewhere in the embassy untouched 😟

Also, has anyone verified whether it is true that those who arrive on or after July 3 cannot extend the STV? I was hoping to extend my stay for the full amount possible but I am scheduled to arrive exactly on July 3. I haven't seen any official mention of this anywhere, only on travel websites not affiliated with the embassy.

Hi Everyone, I am about to apply for the one year OA (retirement visa)for Thailand from the Thai embassy in Washington DC can anyone give me a idea of what my experience will be and if everything they are looking for is exactly as on their website. For instance I am interested in using a service like visa hq and they’re saying I need a itinerary but no mention of that on the Thai embassy website for retirement visa. Does anyone have any information or experience dealing with this embassy in DC? What are my chances of being approved?
