How can I find an agent in Jomtien for my Amphur signing and marriage certificate?

Pretty difficult for people to reach out if you're using a nickname.

You don't need an agent to register your marriage - you simply go to an Amphur and do it unless you are in a rush. However, things changed last year and most Amphurs require anything from 1 week to 2 months to 'check' your documents - only then will they register your marriage. You leave your documents with them and they will tell you when to come back.

Be aware that on your Affirmation of Freedom to Marry, you will have stated which province you intend marrying in - you cannot register at an Amphur outside that province. There are some Amphurs that will do 'checking' and register the marriage on the same day, for a ‘fee’ - the only ones that I know of that will do that are in Bangkok (but there will be others) and for that kind of service you will need to go through an agent. The translation agency that translated your documents for the MFA will normally know one.

So, if you intend registering your marriage in the province that you originally stated and are not in a rush – do it yourself, its very very easy. If you are in a rush, find an agency and ask them for help but remember that you must marry within the month and the province you originally stated. If the agent cannot find an Amphur that will do same day registrations within that province you will have to go through the initial process again – this time stating a province where the agent can find an Amphur.

Where did you get married? In India or Thailand? Or if you plan to get married in Thailand and believe you have the documents needed, then go to an Amphur in Bangkok. Your Embassy can probably recommend an Amphur familiar working with mixed marriages.

If your future wife cannot help you with that then it is really sad…..

You just need to find an amphur that will accept you, a process of elimination, get your girlfriend to call round the ones in your area or even further afield. If you're rushing due to wanting to apply for a marriage visa be aware that many immigration offices won't issue one until you've been married for 3 months so you might need to apply for the 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage outside of Thailand
