Does anyone know how recent the criminal background check (called Basic Disclosure) needs to be when applying for a non-B for teachers at the Thai consulate in Laos?

I have been working in Thailand for over 3 years, so my Basic Disclosure from England is over 3 years old.

Who is the smarty-pants with the answer?

Is there a difference between a medical check/certificate for teachers and non-teachers? The non-teachers one only checks for syphilis. Friend of mine told me that. Just curious, got everything checked already. ;)
