TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation centers around the necessity of a re-entry permit for a multi-entry tourist visa in Thailand. One user expresses uncertainty about the requirement while at the immigration building. Other comments clarify that there is no category specifically named "multi-entry non-immigrant tourist visa"; instead, users generally differentiate between a multi-entry Non-Immigrant visa and a 6-month multi-entry tourist visa. It is indicated that if the visa is multi-entry, the individual can exit and re-enter Thailand without needing a re-entry permit, as long as it is before the visa expiration date.

Hi Todd…. Thanks.. This is the one…. I was told I’d need a re-entry permit as well….?
there is no such animal as a "multi-entry non-Immigrant tourist visa" 🙁
you either have a year long, multi-entry Non-Imm visa based on retirement marriage etc
OR
You have a 6 month multi-entry TOURIST visa
your profile shows you are from the UK, meaning you got the visa issued ONLINE, and have a PDF file that is your visa.. What does it say beside the number of entries ?
If it's multiple, you can exit/re-enter all your want up to the date the visa expires (the valid until date on that visa)
