TLDR : Answer Summary
The multi-entry tourist visa does not reset for another six months upon re-entry; it is valid for the dates specified by the embassy. Each entry grants a 60-day stay, which can be extended by an additional 30 days. Thus, the maximum stay can total approximately nine months if entries are timed correctly before the visa's expiration.

Resets for 2 months which can be extended for another month, for 3 months total.

You can stretch it for 9 months if done properly but you applied a little early

No, it doesn't reset for 6 months. You get 60 days upon entry and you can extend those by another 30, but then it's over. All in all you can get just short of 9 months out of the visa if you time your entries optimally.

Nope, you get 60 days for each entry throughout the validity of the visa

No, it never resets for another 6 months. The dates on the visa will never change. That is the visa that the embassy issued. It's effective for 6 months from the date it is issued. You really should have waited a little closer to your trip to apply for it.

EVERY time you enter Thailand through March 9th, you will receive an entry stamp for 60 days. Each of these entries you can also apply for a 30 day day extension. So after 60 days (or 90 days with extension) you must leave Thailand. You can then return within those dates and get another 60 day stamp. You can repeat this as many times as you want until March 9th.

so there is no advantage for this visa then? I could get sixty plus thirty without this visa then?

There is an advantage. For people that have an extensive history of time in Thailand or want to spend 9 months in Thailand, it allows them to do so with a high chance they will not be questioned by immigration. For someone trying to do that without a visa and just using visa exempt entries, they are likely to encounter issues and be pulled out of line and questioned.

Ok Thanks looks like i've made a cock up! Ive just emailed them to see what can be done I certainly don't want to leave every sixty or 90 days.

if you're looking for a visa that allows you to stay for up to 12 months you should look at the Non-OA visa. If you're looking to live long term in Thailand look at the Non-O visa, while it only gives you 90 days initially it can easily be extended by 12 months inside Thailand (repeatedly)

they won’t refund you any money and you’ll need to exit after 60 days or pay extra 1900 baht to extend for another 30 days. After that you need to get out.

That visa is useless in your case. It’s more if you frequently go in/out of Thailand like ever 7-10 days

the land borders now also allow unlimited entries so even if you cross them often you don't need this visa anymore. The visa is just not so useful anymore if you qualify for exemption. Maybe to improve your odds of getting beyond the six month mark.

It's still useful however for those who don't qualify for exemption.

unlimited is somewhat misleading. In effect land borders are now the same as air borders. People aren't going to be able to live long term in Thailand on the back of border bounces

agreed, but you'd be able to match the time granted by an METV, usually.
