Can anybody assist with further information?

I am an Australian passport holder and I’ve just been approved for a multi entry ;Tourist Visa.

I am under the impression this will allow me to stay for 60 days only, however it says it is valid for six months.

Does this mean I will get an additional 60 days if I leave the country and return?

Or does it mean I can stay in the country for the duration of the valid dates in the Visa?

Not really sure about this, and no information available either on the website or on the Visa approval itself .

Thank you in advance for any practical insights you may be able to share 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
As an Australian passport holder with a multi-entry Tourist Visa for Thailand, you can stay in the country for up to 60 days per entry. Each of these 60-day stays can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of ฿1,900. Your visa is valid for six months, which allows you to re-enter Thailand and receive another 60-day stamp each time, provided you do so before the visa expires. With strategic planning around your entry and extensions, you can potentially stay in Thailand for almost nine months.

You can stay upto to a maximum of 60 days each time you enter each 60 days can be extended by 30 days if required or simply leave and you will get another 60 days each time you re-enter Thailand, if you time it correct you can get another 60 days if you re-enter a day before the 6 months is up and the extended it for 30 days giving a total of 9 months

The Visa is valid for 6 months meaning you can go in and out as much as you want and every time you'll be stamped in for 60 days as long as you enter before the Visa expires. Each entry is also eligible for a 30-day extension so with a well-timed entry near the end of the Visa validity you can get almost 9 months out of it.

Buy the 6 month month METV you can get 9 months out of it with a strategic border bounce in the last few days

60 day stamp, extend for 30 days at ฿1,900 at your local immigration office

Border bounce, microcation minication vacation.

Return 60 day stamp extend for 30 days at ฿1,900 at your local immigration office

Last few days do a border Bounce

Get stamped in for 60 days extend for 30 days for ฿1,900 at your local immigration office

There is no limit on the amount of METV Visas you can buy back to back

These do not count against your 2 border bounces per year

Good luck
