Can anybody assist with further information?
I am an Australian passport holder and I’ve just been approved for a multi entry ;Tourist Visa.
I am under the impression this will allow me to stay for 60 days only, however it says it is valid for six months.
Does this mean I will get an additional 60 days if I leave the country and return?
Or does it mean I can stay in the country for the duration of the valid dates in the Visa?
Not really sure about this, and no information available either on the website or on the Visa approval itself .
Thank you in advance for any practical insights you may be able to share 🙏
TLDR : Answer Summary
As an Australian passport holder with a multi-entry Tourist Visa for Thailand, you can stay in the country for up to 60 days per entry. Each of these 60-day stays can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of ฿1,900. Your visa is valid for six months, which allows you to re-enter Thailand and receive another 60-day stamp each time, provided you do so before the visa expires. With strategic planning around your entry and extensions, you can potentially stay in Thailand for almost nine months.
