Hello everybody, I need some help.

I came to Bangkok with a NON-IMM ED visa for a curricular internship which expires on November 23rd. I tried to ask my internship and the university for a document so I can extend my visa, however they gave me wrong documents and it takes them FOREVER to issue a new one, therefore I was turned away at the immigration office. Is it possible that I can go to the immigration next week and apply for Covid extension based on this reason, and do you think it will help me better if I also show them that I am also Thai national as well (I have a Thai national ID)? I came with my Swedish passport (I have dual citizenships) as I haven't renewed my Thai passport since I moved to Sweden in 2000.

I want to stay in Thailand until the end of December, can I give the reason of wanting to visit my relatives as a good reason? Also, if I do the Covid extension, will my NON-IMM ED visa be cancelled?

Thank you if you can give me some advice. It has been super stressful and emotional today at the immigration office at Cheang Wattana.

Just reporting my experience today at Chaengwattana applying for another Covid-19 extension. I (U.S. Passport) had entered Thailand with an Non-Imm ED visa, which expired in April. After having the visa cancelled, I was on amnesty until Sept 30. I then applied for a Covid extension and was given until Nov 30 with the embassy letter. Today I brought a screenshot of the US embassy website stating they don’t issue letters and copies of all my relevant passport pages as well as a photo. They gave me the covid forms and the TM.7 to fill out and gave me 14 days under consideration, to go back on Dec 1st. They said they will then stamp me until Jan 29th. Booked online so everything was done in about 40 mins. Hope this is helpful for someone!

UK Passport Holder - If I am leaving the country on a NON-Imm ED visa on 24th March (visa expires 14th April) with currently no intention to return this year, should I be going to immigration prior to leaving to cancel? Or is exiting the country enough?

Hi everyone, I'm currently studying in Thailand and holding a non-imm ED visa. I have my tenancy contract and landlord ID copy etc....is it possible for me to get a yellow tabien baan as it seems I can only get that only if I own a condo.

So, I wanted to post my experience in getting an ed visa done in Phnom Penh.

I got to the Thai embassy before the doors opened on Tuesday ( 24th ) . I was one of the first people there and filled out my tourist visa pretty fast and submitted my application and other pertinent paperwork. ( the place really started to get busy about 9:30 ). I also submitted my bank information , which I do not think is required but I went ahead and did it.

I had to wait around about 45 mins to an hr for the consulate to review my application. I paid the fee and got a receipt to pick it up on Thursday at 3-4pm. Went in on thursday ( 26th ) and picked it up immediately.

So, it appears if all your ducks are in a row. Then Phnom Penh is not a bad place to get it done.

Cheers, and thks to the group for answers to questions, previously before I went.
