I’ve got a question for anybody who has experience doing their 180 day border run to get a new passport stamp.

Just planning ahead as I’m at 5 months now, so next month I will need to return back to America or preferably make a quick border run locally.

I know they’re cracking down on the border and visa runs because of people of abusing other types of visas and passports. Has anybody run into any issues being denied entry back into Thailand in doing a border run by plane?

And please chime in on where you flew to where it wasn’t an issue turning right around and coming back or at least spending a few hours before doing so, but still coming back the same day?

Also, I preferred to not go to Cambodia because of the issues there and most of the borders are closed anyway. Just looking for advice on where people did. Their border runs without any problems for the 180 day DTV visa stamp.

Thank you in advance 🙏

Not me but a friend, didn’t wait for their visa (HCMC) and reentered TH on 60-day visa exempt on 7/12, received the visa on 11/12. Today they did a border run at Ranong/Kawthoung and it went without any issues.

Has anyone done a border run from Phuket to Padang Besar via Hat Yai? I know there is bus Phuket-HatYai and mini van HatYai-Padang?

And about the actual border crossing, is it possible to exit with the passport I came in with, and re-enter with another passport (dual citizenship)?

I'm in Thailand at the moment for 86 days. I have a 60 days e-visa. Extend it with 30 days by the immigration office.

Can you only extend it once? I'm thinking of staying one month longer. Or is the borderrun the only option after the first 30 days extend?

Thanks in advance!
