30 day stamp trip to Pakse?

- can you still just go over, pay for Laos VOA then turn around and come back?

(ISA) visa exempt entry Dec 2024 w/ 30 day extension today

FYI, at least in Ubon, you cannot get the 60 day extension based on family with visa exempt entry anymore. Did this 2 years ago but oh well. Just here for wife’s visa interview then bringing her and my child back to US.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the viability of a 30-day border run to Pakse, Laos, suggesting that travelers can obtain a Laos visa on arrival and re-enter Thailand. However, there are complications regarding extensions for visa-exempt entries, particularly related to family visas, which are no longer easily granted as they once were.

สตีฟ เตเต้ . . . well, if it is your only second visa-exempt entry, I think you will not have any problem to do a border bounce in Chong Mek. It is known to be a very relaxed land border. Worst that can happen is that you will be asked to stay in Laos for two nights

After buying the Laos visa, you have to officially enter the Country then you can leave and re-enter Thailand.

Why did they refuse your 60 day visit Thai dependant relatives extention?

said they no longer allow you to extend this way with a visa exempt entry so I just did the 30 day extension.

I guess probably because you now get 60 days visa exempt anyways.
