Hello. I am currently in Thailand 60 day tourist visa with a 30 day extension. Would possibly like to open a bank account. Possibly with Kasikornbank. Have been told by members of staff that I need work permit to open one. Am I able to obtain a Work Permit with regards to my current status. My passport is stamped until 31st March 2025. Thanks for any advice and help that is coming forward…

Bank account question: 5 years ago I opened 2 bank accounts in Thailand(I was under a working B VISA).Left Thailand a couple of years and I'm coming back next week.

Are my bank accounts supposed to be "active" & able to use even when I will enter in a different visa status?

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. I am currently on a tourist visum in Thailand till the end of july. I now want to open a bank account, but here in Pak Chong the banks refused. The reason is that by year-end I'd like to return on retirement-visa, but therefor I need to have a Thai bank account and have money on it for at least 3 months. Any advice? Thanks
