Hi everyone, I’m applying through the Los Angeles office and I’m a bit confused about the photo and portfolio requirements. I work as a W-2 remote employee and received two requests for additional documents.

For the photo, I uploaded a scanned copy of my passport photo twice, but both submissions were rejected. What are the requirements for "RECENT PROPER PHOTO, not take your picture"

For the business portfolio, I submitted a PDF document that included my company’s name, website, a brief business description, and my role. I’m not sure if “portfolio” is meant to refer to my employer’s clients or business partners, or something else?

Applying for the DTV at the Los Angeles Consulate. I recently received a request to "describe a business portfolio". Help!

They asked for proof of income at Hanoi..

People said it would be rejected but I wrote a cover letter showing explaining it was new business & showcased my expertise with a Portfolio of work.

Accepted on Sunday evening 6 day turn around with more information requested 🫡🤝

DTV approved through the LA consulate 🎉🎉🎉

Here’s my timeline in case it helps anyone:

• Applied: April 27

• Got a request for more docs: May 12

• Submitted additional docs: May 13

• Visa approved: May 22

They asked me for a company profile and business portfolio, so if you’re applying as a freelancer, definitely have those ready ahead of time to avoid back and forth.

Do you have any recommendations as to what else I should include in my portfolio and what information should be included in this business profile.
