Hello, I just received an email today with them asking for additional documents that include my business profile and business portfolio. Below is what I already included previously for my portfolio. Do you have any recommendations as to what else I should include in my portfolio and what information should be included in this business profile. For reference I applied as a freelancer in Los Angeles.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on what additional documentation to include in their business profile and portfolio after being requested for more information in their freelancer visa application. Community members suggest including company registration details, templates of business profiles, invoices, and client lists. They emphasize the importance of presenting a clear overview of the business's operation, income, and client details. Additionally, it's noted that resending previously submitted documents may be beneficial to avoid confusion.

This might be totally irrelevant but be aware that the word “freelancer” has a very specific meaning in Thailand 😂😂

Sometimes they ask to send the same you already sent. Just sent the same again. Can change the date, if anything

Sometimes they do repeat asking for the same information you already submitted, along with new documentation. Best approach I find is to send again regardless, so it does not confuse them that you are not sending something they are asking you to. Maybe add a Word document as a cover page and attach it as a whole PDF explaining nicely that you are resubmitting XYZ as requested, and whatever else they ask you to. I did it that way every time, and when they stopped requesting any supporting information -I believe- it is when they started processing all documentation for the application as a whole, since I did not hear from them again for another 2 weeks after two consecutive rounds of asking supporting information, and then I got my approval. Just be nice in any piece of writing you do as well, and describe things as they are requested.

Company profile is 1-2 page pitch so they know who are what do and why you should be let in.

Business portfolio contains all work have done, case studies, client list with their permission, income and outgoings and projected earnings over next 6 months

That should make you then stand out and show your serious bout what your doing xx

thank you I appreciate your input. Do you think that I should include invoices from my other client even though I’ve already submitted the financial documents requested. They didn’t request for them. Just wondering if you would recommend submitting them anyways.

I would submit anything that shows you prepared and thought it through cos the better you look and more you give them the less opportunity they have to say no.

Can add them. Let us know how goes I doing mine in February for me and my son but we already started preparing files etc I wanna make sure they can’t say no to nothing as scary as it is xx

Your company registration on a government website maybe? In the UK its Companies house not sure if you have something similiar in US.

Then maybe make a template business portfolio of all company details, how long you have been operating, how many clients, average income etc etc and some further examples of work with the invoices. You can use Ai/chatgpt for template maybe?

Think of the information you would show off if you were selling your business. And too much info isn't a thing they will sift through what they dont want to see 👍 hope that helps. They want to see its a successful currently running business that belongs to you, so definitely show where it is registered in your name too if you have this. 👌

Thank you! Yeah, all that information I already submitted to them so that’s why I was a little confused on why they were asking for more information. I already submitted my business registration and everything. I am going to create a more detailed portfolio and business profile. I think I’m also going to include some client invoices. Hopefully, that will be all they need 🤞🏾

🤞🤞 yes! I'm sure that will help! ...might be worth putting a statement to say should they need further specific information not included in the business portfolio please specify. Good luck 🤞
