I'm planning on going to da nang to apply for DTV. I plan to go 26th January. With the festival/public holiday this week I assume my application will take more than a week?
Has anyone successfully gotten their DTV approved after canceling the non-ED visa? I am 2 months into my non-ED, and DTV was not yet issued back then. I have been working remotely for a UK firm while living in Bangkok. How do you transition from non-ED to DTV?
UPDATE: *After 50 days I have been approved for the DTV Visa. I have contacted them by email (consuladotailandia @ gmail . com) asking if they need any more documents because it has been more than 1 month, and the only answer was asking me when I was going to Thailand. From there I guess they schedule the approvals so as not to have the months lost if the trip is not close yet. Another user told me that the approval was scheduled, and apparently it was also my case because I received the visa at 12:06AM. Besides, the Thai embassy in Madrid in August was also on holiday. *
Hi! I would like to ask the group if anyone has had the same experience.
I am applying online for the DTV in Spain (Thai Embassy Madrid). I started the enquiry on 25.07.24... had to upload some extra documents on 1.08.24 (bank statements, proof of salary and flight ticket).
This was checked on the same day and since then the status has been pending approval.
I often see here that most people get their visa after a few days. Is it sometimes normal that it takes so long?
My flight to Thailand is at the beginning of October but I will be in Malasia before then.
What should I do? Wait a little bit longer or get in touch with the consulate asap?
I've just been approved for DTV in France, which took 1 month! My situation: freelance digital marketer.
First of all, I filled in the application form on thaievisa (flight, hotel, proof of residence and bank statement for the month of June). Then after 3 weeks they contacted me again and asked me to create a portfolio, all merged with Avis d'Insée (proof of auto-entrepreneur status in France), a text portfolio (1 Word page) explaining the nature of my work in French AND English, my last invoices for the last month, last month's bank statement, and also a screen copy of the platform on which I'm registered to interact with clients and see my activities/profile).
So I provided these documents (about ten pages merged into a single pdf document) and voilà, there was a 'pending approval' status that lasted 2 days and I was approved.
* Hi all, curious if anyone has experience transitioning to the DTV while in Thailand? Or is it a hard requirement that this must be in an embassy/consulate outside of Thailand?
A follow up, would the embassy accept 401/Roth for the income statement?
