I have two questions…. First, did anyone apply for the DTV Visa from Vietnam who isn‘t from Vietnam? How was the process? Second, has anyone applied with a sponsorship letter? Thanks in advance for your answers. Really appreciate it 🙏

I got my DTV, but the note in remarks is wrong, it says in Thai, Passport expires 7 Dec 2029. But my passport actually will expire 27th.

Could this be an issue? Should I contact the embassy to fix it?

Hi all, hoping for some help with timelines on exiting Thailand. My stamp in my passport with my entry into Thailand on my DTV says the 4th Aug but after doing my 90 day report it says to re-report on 30th July. Am I ok to leave Thailand on the 1st Aug (I have a flight booked) or will I need to leave before 30th July as per the 90 day report? Thanks so much in advance.

I have seen conflicting information so I was hoping I could get some clarification. I am in Hanoi processing my DTV. I am going to be adding my husband as a dependent. It looks like I have to wait for my visa to be approved before applying for him. Do we need to stay out of the country until both of the visas are approved? Would rather not stay in Vietnam so long. Can I add him to my visa from Thailand?

Quick anecdote arriving in CNX for the first time on a new DTV (workation from Hanoi). Showed them the visa on my phone, IO looked at it, called someone else over to look, asked me if it was my first time entering on a DTV, and stamped me for 180 days. Easy. Might not be too interesting to you...but I kept seeing horror stories of people getting interrogated on arrival and wanted to counterbalance some of the FUD. (Doesn't hurt to be prepared though; I had all the documents from my DTV ready on my phone.)

Workcation application as a business owner

Flew to Jakarta on 5th May and submitted application that day, despite it being a Thai public holiday.

Docs submitted:

Passport bio page

Business registration documents

company tax returns

Letter confirming I am the sole owner and shareholder

Letter confirming company approved me to work remotely in Thailand, high level scope of work

Personal bank statements for last 6 months

Flight booking, AirBnB booking, boarding pass and Indonesia 30 day visa confirmation

Not great timing as Thai PH on 5th, 9th and 12th May!

Refreshed the website every few hours every day until afternoon of 14th May when it changed to pending approval.

3 hours later received email with approval 😃

So all done in 4.5 working days 👍

Quick question. My visa is valid until May 25th. I have a flight to another country on May 26th at 1:30 AM. Can I go to the airport earlier and pass through immigration before midnight on May 25th?

When applying for an METV, can your flight out of Thailand and back (within the 60 day period) be from a country other than your country of residence?

Hi, I had a question for those that have submitted as self employed.

Sometimes I see people say they submitted an approval agreement written to themselves, that they're allowed to work remotely and abroad. Is this something that people were asked for? If so, did you just write and sign a letter on company letterhead? I'm self employed and don't have anything like this, but would be curious about the chances of being asked to make such a document. Applying in Jakarta next week.
