My wife and i plan on moving to thailand next year ( retirement ) first on a visa exempt ( we are from america ) then getting the non o visa once there, then extending it , my question is how do or can i open a bank account in thailand to deposit the 800000 for each of us on a visa exempt, or would it be easier to use a visa agent or agency. I already own a condo we bought 2 years ago.

Hello from January my country passport will be eligible for destination Thailand visa (DTV). So as per anyone experience Can I apply simultaneously me with my others family members (like wife and daughter)? Or 1st I have get first my DTV then I will apply for my others family members?

DTV Soft Power : Cooking Classes (2-4 weeks)

I will be in Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) in 2 weeks and want to apply for DTV Soft Power Cooking Class from the Thai consulate in HCMC. The courses are scheduled for April 2025 and I have the option to choose between 2 or 4 weeks classes.

My question:

1. Is it OK to apply for DTV and enter Thai territory in April 2025 only?

2. Do I have to take cooking classes every 180 days or every time I re-enter Thailand within the 5 years of my Visa?

3. Beside the school deposit with receipt + 500K baht bank statement + stamp on my passport from Vietnam + Hotel proof that I'm applying from outside of Thailand. What else do I need?

If some of you got admitted DTV Soft Power Cooking Classes can please share their experience, specially from HCMC Thai consulate if any.

Is there a time limit to enter Thailand once your DTV is approved?

Need a 30 day extension visa, 60 days runout on 5 November. I intended to go to immigration at jomtiem myself and do it. I have a friend in hospital so I’m visiting and supporting them so time at a premium . I saw a you tube of someone who had an agent that did it for 4 k I can’t find it again , I know that’s double but I just want to save time and hassle .
