Hi, I had a question for those that have submitted as self employed.
Sometimes I see people say they submitted an approval agreement written to themselves, that they're allowed to work remotely and abroad. Is this something that people were asked for? If so, did you just write and sign a letter on company letterhead? I'm self employed and don't have anything like this, but would be curious about the chances of being asked to make such a document. Applying in Jakarta next week.
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a self-employed visa in Thailand, it's common to provide documentation that confirms your ability to work remotely. Some applicants have created an employment contract for themselves, stating their right to work from anywhere, signed by themselves as both employer and employee. Others mention that a letter from your own company affirming your status and ability to work remotely may be required. Additionally, recent income tax filings could be requested as part of the application process.
I did not specify in my contract that I am allowed to work remotely. It was just an official letter from my company stating that I am a full-time employee, etc - DTV was approved
A written letter is required from your employer, or your own company, stating that you are allowed to work remotely. Another thing that is lots of times asked for from self-employed person's is your most recent income tax filing.
when you gave them ur tax filing, did you just include the relevant page? I included just my 1040 page, which shows my freelance occupation and income from it.
I wrote an employment contract for myself which had a clause that says I can work remotely from anywhere with an Internet connection. The contract was signed twice by myself. Once as employer and once as the employee. Accepted without questions.
