Is having 500k Thai baht in a Thai bank ok for the dtv requirement?

Can it be 500k at one time or does it have to be present for 3-6 months please?

I’m currently in Thailand on an ED visa and I would be looking to change to DTV Muay Thai visa. Will probably go to Vietnam for processing

Thank you

Hello all, my wife and i are planning to move to phuket. She will work from home for an american hospital. I will not work as we will also have an income from 2 rental properties. Our plan is she gets the remote worker visa and that says it applies to spouse and kids. Do we need to show a bank balance of $30k or something first to be approved? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a bit of visa advice. My wife is Thai (dual Thai/US citizenship and dual passports). We own a condo in Hua Hin and a few pieces of land, all of which are in her name since she's Thai. We visit occasionally (just returned from a 6 week visit) and plan to return to our condo for about 6 months starting next January. After that, we plan to visit more frequently and eventually we will probably want to live there permanently. Oh yes, I'm retired and neither of us is concerned about employment in Thailand; we just want to live there. Any suggestions regarding my visa?

Is it possible to change from a Non-O Visa (based on marriage) with a 1-year extension of stay to a half Thai child dependent visa? My wife can continue working while I process my visa, which is easier as she works away sometimes. tia 🙏

PS: I'm about to renew my 1-year extension of stay - due 13th May. (SriRacha Immigration Office)

Hi just a quick #insurance question

I got my evisa (spouse) and will travel to TH in 2 weeks. The visa is 90 days + later an extension

My question is - For how long should I buy a classic travel health insurance from the country of origin? When will I be able to buy "expat"sort of insurance in Thailan?

I mean - e.g. buy whatever travel insurance just for a week or two and quickly change for "expat" insurance inside of TH

Or buy travel for 90days and then I will be able to buy the other one?

What's your experience/recommendations?

Thanks alot!

Has anyone here applied for a long-term visa as a dependent (spouse)? I need clarification regarding the process of submitting the Marriage Certificate. Is it really required to go to Thai Embassy and DCA here in the Philippines? Thanks so much.
