UPDATE:

I received the e-Visa just 3 hours after submitting the Invitation Letter. Had my wife write/sign/date, included copy of her Thai ID and pages from family house book.

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!

Re: Non-O e-Visa, I received an email from the Los Angeles embassy requesting an Invitation Letter from Immediate Family.

I searched the group for “invitation letter”, and while I found helpful posts, none I found seem to match my situation.

My wife has been living with me in the USA for 10 years, and now we are moving to Koh Samui. We will be renting at first, but do not yet have an address. Her family is in Khong Chiam (Ubon).

Any suggestions on how to write the letter? From my wife and hotel or friend’s address? From family in Ubon and their address?

Thanks, this group has been a tremendous help to me thus far.

I know showing proof of funds isn’t common upon re-entry into Thailand, but has anyone been asked to show proof of full 500k baht? Or is it only 20K baht you have to prove? Thanks!

I run a limited company and pay myself a salary of £1,000 per month, with an annual dividend top-up of around £20,000. My total income on my tax return comes to approximately £32,000 per year.

I recently moved 500,000 THB from the company account into my personal account. I usually invest my funds personally (e.g. in stocks), and I generally keep a personal balance of around £3,000–£4,000. This time, I deposited the 500,000 THB directly into my personal account.

Will my salary and dividend structure be sufficient for DTV Workcation Visa? What’s the lowest amount of income has someone been accepted with?

I understand social security from USA is not taxed? Moving over on a 1 year non o I would need to deposits 800k or show 65k monthly income? Would they tax the 800k$. I can show 65k monthly from Social Security easily. Would that have to be deposited in a Thai bank account?

Thanks

Hi, wife and I plan to move to Thailand next year on a non O retirement visa. We will get the 90 day non O visa in our home country (USA) first, my question is the origin of the 800K deposit per person, must my wife’s deposit come from a USA bank account in her name or can each of our 800k deposits come from an account in my name only?

I tried to reach out to the Thai embassy in DC for an answer but no response yet.

Thank you!
