Hello! I'm a freelance web developer in the US using the LA embassy/consulate/location. Myself, my spouse and two kids are working on coming to Thailand for 6-9 months with border hops along the way to reset our stay. I'm most of the way through applying for my DTV but we need to book our accommodations and flight. A couple of questions.

1. Do I apply and get accepted for DTV visa first and then do I apply for DTV visas for each of my family members after?

2. Do accommodations need to be exact or does approximate work? We don't fully know where we'll be staying and we haven't booked our flights yet. Can we provide what we think we're going to do?

Thanks!

Why they all hurry to ask DTV before the E-Visa in Jakarta and other places? Is the Evisa process worse than walk in?

Hello guys, I have 2 questions about DTV visa

1- I am a newbie freelancer, I have contracts with my clients. Are contracts counted as enough to prove that you are a freelancer?

2- Is there any time duration rule (such as; 90 days) for required amount of money (at least 5000.000 THB) to stay in your account?

Thanks in advance :)

(Edited w/additional clarification)

Earlier in the year when the proposed changes to VOA, Visa exempt, and DTV were announced, it was also mentioned that the Non-immigration visas were going to change by reducing the number of categories/types with possible changes in the requirements. The window mentioned was Sept/Oct.(Dec?) I've not heard anything since. I know there's a different Administration in place now, but has there been any talk of the changes?

I can't find the original article but this has the bulleted "mid-term measures" I read before.

Hello everyone,

So my situation is that I am currently on a Marriage Visa that expires on the 07 December 2024, and I want to change it to a "Thai child visa".

I just got a few days ago my bank account with the sum of 400K THB... I know, I am late for that... :(

I am a bit confused as to what are my options now?

I heard that I could change my visa from "Marriage" to "Thai Child" without going out of Thailand, but will it work as I just got my bank account seasoned?

If they require to have the bank account seasoned 3 months before the 07 December, it won't work.

Or do I have to leave the country, ask for a 3 months tourist visa and then go to Chaeng Wattana in order to switch from tourist to Non-O Thai Child Visa? In order to give me the time to have the bank account seasoned properly.

Thanks šŸ™

Any LTR Wealthy Pensioners in this group? How did you meet this requirement? "A. Health insurance policy (travel insurance NOT accepted) covering the entire course of stay in Thailand and providing at least 50,000 USD for hospitalization and medical treatment in Thailand with no less than 10 months of remaining coverage." Any of you have BCBS Federal that covered this? TIA!

Has the government ever canceled a visa option?

Is there a likely hood this could happen with the DTV?

Hello everyone,

I am going to Thailand soon and I am planning on staying for 30 days, the thing is that the only way to get a visa is through filling the new online e-visa form but the issue is that to do it I need to be

for example in malaysia 15 days beforehand since it asks for a proof of existance in the set country and the website also states that from my country it isn't eligible to apply for e-visa and they tell me to head to the nearest Royal Thai embassy which is in my case the Royal Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

I'll be visiting malaysia for 5 days before heading to Thailand and since they stopped the visa walk-in process in Kuala Lumpur Royal Thai embassy the only solution that I have is a VOA for 15 days which Tunisia is eligble for. But what i wanna know is, will it be possible to leave Thailand after 15 days and head to Kuala for 2 nights and then take another flight back to Thailand and get another VOA for 15 days to finish my trip ?
