So my situation is that I am currently on a Marriage Visa that expires on the 07 December 2024, and I want to change it to a "Thai child visa".
I just got a few days ago my bank account with the sum of 400K THB... I know, I am late for that... :(
I am a bit confused as to what are my options now?
I heard that I could change my visa from "Marriage" to "Thai Child" without going out of Thailand, but will it work as I just got my bank account seasoned?
If they require to have the bank account seasoned 3 months before the 07 December, it won't work.
Or do I have to leave the country, ask for a 3 months tourist visa and then go to Chaeng Wattana in order to switch from tourist to Non-O Thai Child Visa? In order to give me the time to have the bank account seasoned properly.
Thanks ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a Marriage Visa expiring on December 7, 2024, and seeks to switch to a Thai Child Visa. They have recently opened a bank account with 400K THB but are concerned about whether the account seasoning requirement will affect their visa change. They inquire if it's possible to change their visa without leaving Thailand and whether they need to obtain a tourist visa for additional time.

Could you not ask for a 60 day extension due to looking after a half Thai child. That will give you the seasoned time you need and then you can ask for a one year extension.
, and if you haven't applied for it with this current series of visa and extensions. 60-day family visit extension is one time per visa (not per yearly extension).
(John Stanners) that is not actually true IF you have Non-O 90 day visa, OR a year extension and get the 60 day visit thai family extension it IS totally possible to then apply for a yearly extension.
you are allowed to apply only once for the 60 day visit family extension BUT it's commonly used for people to "buy time" to season their funds so they can then apply for the marriage extension
Are you on the initial 90 day Non-O or a 12 month extension because you can only change the reason for an extension after you have been granted at least one?
