My question is, how is gonna be the tax situation? Are we eligible to pay tax in Thailand or not?

If I apply for the workation category DTV in one consulate and get rejected, can I apply for a soft power DTV in another consulate? Any potential issues with that? Is there a minimum time I need to wait between applications?

DTV approved in Sweden. I applied 13/12 at 16:08 and today, 16/12 at 10:29 I got a request for documents. They wanted payslips and a document proving I am a remote worker. It says in my employment contract that I can work remotely, but I also sent a letter from my CEO stating explicitly that I am a remote worker. At 16:18 I got the visa approved. Extremely fast handling by the Thai embassy in Stockholm.

Do you need to translate your documents (like rental contract or tax returns) in case they are not in English? And you need to be in Jakarta or can you go to Bali? Anyone tips for applying online through Indonesia?

Has anyone received a DTV with the soft power for cooking lessons? The site for USA is a bit vague.

Wonder if the cooking class needs to be a certain length of time, etc ? I see a bunch of 1 day classes but assume they are looking for something more than that...? Anything else?

I would suspect that you just present your class registration receipt?
