is right. i am anxious until i see that stamp and am walking out the door. if there were some sort of regularity to all of this, which u guys do such a good job of explaining about it\that\whatever, is very helpful. but there is no certainty almost anywhere. you know this. some places require this, some don't, some places want to see money, some others don't and on and on and on. is thailand my thai friends tell me and farang who have been here awhile, tell me the same thing. just no continuity. this is good sometimes, and not so good at others. welcome to life. lol at least i am more relaxed today. another month in the LOS, so itz all good. thank you guys for all the good help you provide. i take it to heart and try to have everything i need, even if itz not asked for. just makes me feel better to have it. ta. shalom cheers aloha, jb
i didn't do anything, RAP. just sat there and tried to look pretty. other than that, nothing. so, maybe just lucky. whatever. i will take it. next, setv in ventiane. if that goes as easy as this, i will for sure know i am blessed. ta. jb.
oh, i see from your post they gave you all the forms. is this true for here in udon thani, then? sorry to bother you. is my first extension. don't want things to go south. thanks. jb..
thanks, joyce. i don't expect any issues. but, you just never know here in thailand. i remain prepared for disappointments. if not, then the day is good. if so, the day is still good. one time i went and they told me, unbeknownst to me, that i had to have another medical exemption or leave the country and come back. my expiration date was that day, so a hurried trip to ventiane, at 1pm, and it was taken care of that way. but, i was a little nervous. jb
thanks tod, will do. i expect no problems. but if i have to, have to, can always fly out and back. as you see, i am paranoid about everything, so want to have a backup plan, just in case. don't really care about the money, just the stamp. then, on to ventiane next time, for the setv. if i go early, say a few days or so, to ventiane, will they add to the date my visa expires or will it be 60 days from the day i leave my passport there? thanks again. do you ever sleep???
yes, she is lovely, and caring, and thoughtful, and a big surprise she finds time to put up with me. but, i learned not to even joke about things like infidelity. she doesn't think joking about it is to be done. another friend told me if his, thai wife, even has a dream about him with another woman, she is mad at him all day. now, how can one fix that??? but the trade off is that, my wife, is as loyal as one could hope for. and for me, thatz important. nothing like a little infidelity to ruin everything good one has. just not worth it, to me, at least. never been like that. happened to me, once, never liked it that much, so am unwilling to foist that on another human being. not moral or anything like that, at all, just like treating people right, especially wives. jb
am sure only u and others on this site will hear of any of this. i know wife. she wood not be pleased by even joking about it. i have learned this the hard way. thai women, at least mine, don't have much of a sense of humor about that stuff. so, i try to keep it peaceful at home. i sleep better that way. lol jb
