my fault! Not sure why I read your post as you guys already being in Thailand (and your husband traveling to Jakarta). As someone with young kids at home, thanks for the post!

Once you get approved, will you have to leave the country again, or how will your visa get recognized by the immigration officers?

Perfect. Thank you!

the thaiembassy(dot)com site says in the FAQs:

"What’s the easiest way to get a DTV visa in Thailand?

You CANNOT apply for this visa while in Thailand. You will have to return to your country of residence and apply through the Thai embassy or a participating consulate."

So I was a little confused.

What kind of contract?

If I sell digital products online (for example), what constitutes a contract? A transaction?

Ahhh I see.

We were previously on volunteer visas (for an actual foundation, actually volunteering) pre-Covid, and everyone was considered a "follower." Wasn't sure if this would be similar or not.

Re: "each DTV costs 10,000 baht"

Meaning, dependents will have a DTV (not some kind of dependent equivalent under the DTV-holder)?

Asking because the requirements for dependents differ slightly (ex. "must show proof of DTV-holder's approval" or something like that).
