@Martin *******
once you test negative you aren’t going to magically test positive a week later, that’s why they use the tests they do

@Teemu *******
with omicron pretty doubtful they will move to rapid tests

What has happened to other passengers is at immigration it’s realized they don’t have the proper booking and will be forced to book a new test and go before they let you leave, and good luck getting a refund from your first hotel

Bangkok post did a good article on this

@Rachael ******
for Thailand (airline can differ) the result has to be within 72 hours but the test can actually be 72+ hours

For simplicity and peace of mind I would suggest getting the test done within 72 hours prior to departure if at all possible.

if they don’t extend Covid after Jan 25 I’ll be looking for a border run in February myself so let’s hope so

@William ******
under the current circumstances I would just stay put in Thailand, but things might be different in 3+ months and maybe a travel bubble is possible by then

@James *******
it’s come up before in this group just not very often, after catching Covid you have a natural immunity for however long they say it lasts

@James *******
false positives are not likely

If he tests negative then he is good to fly, there’s nothing to check

It only becomes an issue for vaccinated purposes, you have to wait a period after getting it to get the vaccine, before that you can get a doctors note saying you are recovered from Covid in lieu of being vaccinated

@James *******
any documents I’ve seen about flying after being Covid positive have said that you had Covid within the last 90 days, wouldn’t make much sense if you had to wait 90 days to fly.

Think you just need a negative test and a doctors note

honestly they could pick someone with an IQ above room temperature to give it a “dry run” and alleviate 75% of the confusion and problems, the other 25% I don’t think the applicants are literate
