go the ThaiElite route you can get a Family membership for thb800,000 for 5 years for your wife and yourself but extras added on will be thb300,000 for the 5 yer period. this will save you alot of visiting immigration for visas and also likely employing and agent or lawyers to do for you. they have a website just visa there are longer durations but of course everything costs... good luck

my wife got from atlanta with a puppy 4 months old in first class all the way to seoul then seoul phuket the puppy travelled with her in the cabin and was well looked after.. but obviously that was pre covid it was korean airlines both flights

be careful they won’t allow you to work here doing anything even if no pay and just trying to help. they consider your taking the job of a local. visa not sure others will be able to guide u better as i am on retirement visa …

just thai consulate in perth tell them you want to retire to thailand on retirement visa they will guide you
