yes, the 29th looks like they will be closed. I was worried that there would be an issue if I go on the last day exactly (30th) but from others’ reassurance, looks like I will be ok

but just to clarify, the only way to get an extension before it expires would be to go on the 29th, but if they’re closed I obviously can’t do that.

So midnight on the 30th would be when the day first begins.. so if I go in at 8 am on the 30th that is after midnight, wouldn’t that mean my visa is now expired?

I posted in another group and mostly so far everyone has said if I go on the 30th I’ll be fine, so I just want to be sure I’m clear on what you’re saying!

thank you! I live very close so getting there early isn’t an issue. The last time we had to go was also right after the holiday so I’m prepared!

Update your address/forward your mail before you go! I learned the hard way that sometimes they want you to come in person to show your ID.

Set up multiple two factor authentications on your important logins. That way if you don’t have access to your US number, you can still get in.

Make sure your cellphone is unlocked so you can get a SIM card

Go to AAA and get your international drivers permit. Takes like 30 minutes and only $20ish

Order new bank cards if any are expiring within the next year

Request medical records

Save yourself some money and just do it yourself at the immigration office. It’s o my 1900 baht, but if you go through an agent, it’s gonna cost you at least double the amount. It’s a simple process, just have to have patience. Overall, took about 1.5 hours to do for my entire family

Everyone here always wants to complicate it.. use and keep it simple. It works, it’s legal, and is actually what many agencies recommend when applying for a visa before even purchasing your final tickets
