yeah, from what I’ve seen/heard the Laos border is a little more strict

Just recently came back from a border run (second one) and the immigration officers were very excited to let us know there was no longer a 2x limit. Not saying that border runs should be a long term solution, or that everyone should try their luck.. but this was my experience

There are a bunch of different services. This is the one I used for my visa application to show proof of return tickets. They also asked us at the airport before departing if we had return tickets, but never actually asked to see them. It doesn’t matter what anyone says about “they’ve never asked me so…” because one day they can and they will. Just happened to some friends of mine today. So anyway, here’s the link if you need it

so are you saying you can no longer do that, or there’s no longer a maximum number of times you can do this?

With the new visa exemption, you could do 60 days upon entry, then extend for another 30 days.. do a border run and then do the same thing again.. a total of 6 months. I have a family of five with little ones the same ages.. we’ve done this same process.

To add: you can do a land border run twice in one year.. so you could do this for a total of nine months

@Jeff *****
you can also pay for an onward ticket (I use best onward tickets). You can choose a round trip option I believe and it’s only around $12. That’s what I used on my last visa app
