we did this before covid. Husband took long service and holidays. Since then only one holiday a year. Better when we were having 3 holidays a year every holiday over a month. Have to build up holidays and long service again.

yes you will. You can make your age pension portable. You keep getting it while living aboard for years. As long as you have done the 2 year stay in Australia when applying for it. My inlaws are doing it and I have friends that are doing it. Google it info is on the aus gov site.

the age pension can be made portable to live in other countries. I know quite a few people that are doing it. You have to be in aus for 2 years after you apply for age pension if you haven't been living in aus 2 years prior. New Zealand has the same rules my inlaws had to return to nz for 2 years after living in aus for 10 years to receive age pension. Once the 2 years was up they shifted back to aus and keep there pension.

easier for us to bring cash. Save on fee charges as well. $8.70 plus the bank fee just to use an atm in thailand.

Cash is still used in Thailand and other countries. I have friends in thailand that only still use cash in there business still. Qr codes don't work for a foreigner.

but it's not that much money. I only use cash when in thailand and will always have a lot more then that amount in my hand bag. I am more comfortable carry cash around in your country then mine.

Does it matter if you are asked it's only 10,000 baht. Small amount of money. If you are going for 27 days you must have more then 10,000 baht to live on. We have been going regularly to Thailand for 11 years. Never been asked. Just got and enjoy your holiday.

there is sometimes we don't have a choice but put our animals on a plane. I love our dogs and they get the best life. But sometimes things change in life and you have to get them other parts of the country.
