From what I've read and experienced soft power is relatively easy to apply for..as long as you choose a school that is properly approved and knows how the correct paperwork to provide. The remote worker/workcation route is a bit more complicated because the particulars of each person's situation differ. Even situations that are similar can have a couple of different things happening. Then add to that the consualtes and the people working in the very same consulate handling things differently.
