I just booked a round trip flight with EVA from SFO (San Francisco) to CNX (Chiang Mai) for October 2020 returning in March 2021.

The seats were evaporating fast and it was either take a chance now or end up in Business of First Class.

The tickets have a $100 fee to change the dates which is still a lot less expensive than Business Class.

I am holding my breath that things open up by then.

Those are my normal "Snowbird" dates to avoid the crappy Northern California Winters.

Fingers firmly crossed!

Buy property in his name and get a long lease on it so you can use the property.

: I was in a bind. I was going to be in Thailand for another five months without boots to ride my Dirt Bike. I had already gotten out the Vaseline and was prepared to pay the Duty. The hassle was not having them for an extra month because they couldn't figure out how much Duty to charge me.

: Unfortunately a set of dirt boots in a brightly colored, fairly large, manufacturers box, commands attention. But I get your point if the box is fairly discreet.

I blew out my Motorcycle Dirt Bike Boots the second week I was back in Thailand on a six month stay in October 2019. I went online and ordered in a new pair of boots from the States. They only took 4 days to get to Bangkok, but Customs wanted an invoice to calculate the "duty" which was not on the outside of the box. I spent a month getting the information to Customs. When the boots finally arrived in Chiang Mai they wanted about 30% Duty (6300b).

And to add insult to injury the boots ran large and I was swimming in them.

Moral of the story: Make sure the shipper puts an invoice on the outside of the box.

DHL is working. My Wife just received a care package here in the States from Chiang Mai. Took about a week to get here.
