@Amari ******
I had a 60 day last year. Coming in the IO noticed the visa had an extra digit for passport number from the embassy. He let me in though. When doing the border bounce they could not find the visa in the system. Did the original IO delete it? Since I had the original document the IO supervisor was very helpful and issued the 60 day visa.

Moral of the story, check and double check your visa on receipt.

if you are applying for a 60 day visa then do not put a period longer than 60 days. You need to leave and return before 60 days. Not sure if you can get a 30 day extension.

I have recently read in the comments, not always a good source of info, that the 60 exempt plus a 30 extension followed by another 60 day exempt on a border run might not be possible depending on the IO.

Also is it best to stay out a couple of days rather than a bounce.

What? I have had at least 4 passports and I have never been asked to transfer a visa over that I can recall. Just carried the old passport or once had the old passport attached.

That is intresting. Last year I a Loas border run from Chiang with a 60 day visa from an embassay. Initially I was told the visa did not exist and only a 30 day would be given. However they were very helpful and issued a 60 day.

Sorry, why are you using VFS for an extension on a visa exempt?
