How can I open a bank account in Phuket on a digital nomad visa (DTV)?

I would disagree before the recent tightening. I opened mine with no issues at all with my DTV on my second day of being in the country. Personally I think it was just luck of the draw.

I did see someone on Thursday refused in the same branch when they tried.
