about 5 years ago my thai friend/brittish passport came back to thailand and was asked where is your thai passport she says didnt bother renewing it IO says ok your brittish so visa exempt stamp

ok guys thanks for the info......so now it looks like it might be easier to go to say savanaket stay a few days and get 1, is that correct, as has been said here they might not even change 30 day tourist extension to 60 day marriage ectension

aah ok i thought it was a sort of 90 day bridging visa so you could then apply for marriage visa i will off to immigration first thing monday as i have all relevant paperwork to show except last bank statement and letter from bank dated monday .......... thanks for clearing that up

thanks brandon appreciated i did go to immigration and was told not possible, that is why i posted on here to get some one like yourself with a vast knowledge of the rules to start me in right direction

60 days visa exempt then change to 30 day tourist visa 1900 baht, then if you are legally married convert to married to thai visa 60 days, total 150 days 3,800 baht

have traveled to thailand and none of the carriers have denied me boarding with or without a visa and my stay is always 120 days, this year 60 d exempt 30 d tourist and 60 d married to a thai
