How is Thailand immigration verifying that arriving tourists have gotten the vaccine? Is there some type of international online database?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Thailand immigration verifies the vaccination status of arriving tourists primarily through the submission of a vaccination certificate. Different countries employ various verification methods; for instance, Singapore uses blockchain technology for electronic vaccination certificates. Travelers may also need to upload their vaccination proof when applying for a Certificate of Entry (COE). While some users reported that their vaccination cards were not directly checked upon arrival in Bangkok, there are notable distinctions between entry requirements for different regions, such as Bangkok versus the Phuket Sandbox, the latter requiring vaccination documentation.

I arrived at Bangkok last three days, as non-vaccinated. which can be difference in COE document with vaccinated dates for vaccinated people. ASQ will be the same for both. But you must bring vaccinated card whether you are planning to go to Phuket Sandbox stuff.

I arrived in bkk last week and I was never asked for my vaccine card at immigration The embassy asked when I applied for my COE, and it’s stated on there type, date etc.

Bangkok entry doesn't require vaccine with ASQ whereas Phuket Sandbox requires vaccination...two different entry requirements

I was wondering this also. I have my CDC card, but how are they going to know I didn't fake it?

They accepted my CDC card but I still have no idea how they verified it lol. My state doesn't have a central vaccine database and my governor has essentially forbid any business or government entity from requesting vaccine records, so I'd say they probably just took my word for it.

Pretty sure that you won’t get your COE unless you provide some sort of acceptable vaccination proof, so you won’t have to worry. You won’t be able to get to immigration if you can’t get permission to fly here in the first place.

I think the only reason to ask the question is to see if you can fake it? 🤔🤔🤔

you will need a print out to provide for the COE. You will also need a print out to bring with you. When I entered thailand they checked every document no less then 10x at the airports.

Different countries different verification methods.

Singapore uses blockchain technology and can issue an electronic vaccination certificate for travel and application of COE.

Dont ask me how it works
