As long as nobody knows that you stopped on the 23rd of March then no worry. Just be gone before they expire.

If the school reported your contract ending on the 23rd then you may have a problem. It just depends on what the school did when you finished work.

If you are technically still employed and on leave (vacation) then no issue.

If your employer is not on board with it then you may have problems.

As to a 30-day extension of a non-B ... if not extending the WP...

Not in any case I am familiar with.

I would bet that your WP wasn't canceled then. Most agencies just take the WP and throw it in a drawer until it expires.

Check at the labor office to see if it was actually canceled.

If it was they will give you a form.

If it wasn't then you need to cancel it.

Take the receipt / letter from the labor office, go to immigration and cancel it. If this isn't done on the same day you can expect to get clipped for an overstay since your extension of stay was based on the canceled work permit.

If you want to switch from non-B (with WP) to SETV then you need you have your WP and visa canceled before you depart.

If they are not canceled then an exit without a re-entry permit will void the visa and you will enter on a 30-day stamp. You can extend that for another 30.

.

Go cancel your WP and then on your next hop you can get a SETV

OR

just out and in for 30 more then extend for another 30.

So... In for 30, extend for 30, repeat for 30+30 more. 4 months gets you pretty close to Sept.

OR

in for 30, cancel the old WP, get a SETV and use that for the next 90 (60+30-day extension).

Enter (get 30 days - 60 if you have a visa), leave.

Return, get 30 days again.

If you need more days then go to immigration and get a 30-day extension (b1900). You can do this once per entry.

They want to know who it is addressed to/who needs/wants it.

Call them and ask to be sure.

And nok air has return flights cnx to dmk for <2200 return (no luggage - same day flights).

For b3000 you can fly down to the RTP headquarters and do it.

Then b3000 more to fly down and pick it up 2 weeks later.

Did you check to see if you can get it done at the RTP headquarters in CM? B100 and 2 weeks for the result.

Wasn't my experience in Hanoi. Just the entry stamp and another small stamp. Don't know for other ports of entry.
